We are now closing in on the final quarter of the year. I think I can speak for the majority that most of us would love to get to 2021 and completely forget the disaster that 2020 has been.

With everything that has gone on with the pandemic, we’re curious to know if some of you still were able to salvage some of the summers this year and we were wondering something, did you visit a theme park in 2020?

We are really curious on how many people did end up going to theme parks in 2020?

Did we go to a theme park in 2020?

Yes, we did, but only went to one a few times late in the summer. Being that I do have some of those secondary illnesses that are known to be problems with Covid, we were very cautious early on in the year and stayed home just like everyone else.

In August we did end up going to Cedar Point which if you don’t know where that is, it’s in Sandusky, Ohio.

My wife and daughter did go a few other times and experienced some of the low key Halloween based events the park had going on in the fall of 2020.

What was our experience at the theme park in 2020?

As you can see there is hardly anyone around in the background. At times felt like we had the park to ourselves.

To be honest, I was a little nervous, but I personally did not have any intent on riding any rides. My main goal was to capture some video and pictures at the park, and experience some food at the park.

It was more of a business trip as opposed to a fun escape. Although I must admit that it felt really good to get out of the house and do something different.

But overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how “safe” I felt at the park. Cedar Point had done a really good job at taking things serious. All guests were required to wear masks. There were special social distancing markers in all of the ride queue’s and restaurant queue’s. And there was plenty of outdoor seating areas to eat your food and to sit down to rest.

Of course, the mask was a bother for me having CPOD, so I did take breathers when I could, but overall, with the crowd levels being really down it was really laid back and enjoyable.

Let us know if you went to the theme parks this year and what your experience was…
