Disney World
Bring A Cooler, Drinks, & Snacks Into Disney World To Save Money.
If you haven’t been to Disney yet, you may be in for a shocker. The thing that will shock you is the prices. The trip can be a very expensive one, especially for a family.
So one thing that is fantastic is that you have options to save money on your trips to Disney World and the best part about that is Disney is pretty cool about it.
When it comes to coolers, snacks and drinks, Disney has proven to be a champ and you should be happy to know that you can bring those things into the parks if you follow the restrictions we will cover below.
What Coolers, Snacks, and Drinks are Allowed in Disney Parks?
- Coolers with or without wheels that are smaller than 24″ Long X 15″ Wide * 18″ Deep – This goes for bags and backpacks as well. (Coolers are also prohibited at indoor venues.)
- Re-usable ice packs are allowed and recommended – ( They do NOT allow loose or dry ice)
- Plastic bottles of water and cans of soda are okay – ( Glass containers of any kind are not allowed. Excluding small containers of baby food jars.)
- No alcoholic beverages can be brought in.
- Snacks, as long as they can fit into your back pack and as long as the back pack does not exceed the maximum size.
By packing your drinks and snacks, you can save a boat load of money on your trip. Even the snacks at Disney can get a little pricey, especially when you have to buy for a family of 4 or more.
Keep in mind that your cooler and bag will be checked when you get to the park. So if you plan on sneaking anything in that is prohibited, I would think twice. You do not want to have to go back to the car or throw out something.
In most cases a trip back to the car can be a long one, especially in the Magic Kingdom, you would have to hitch a ride back on the ferry to get back to the parking lot. You don’t want to waste any time you have, depending on the crowd levels, you will need every second you can get to be able to maximize your Disney time you have in the park.
Be Mindful of These Prohibited Items…
- Strollers greater than 31″ in width and 52″ in length
- Stroller wagons are prohibited
- Wagons are prohibited in any of the Disney Theme Parks.
- Folding chairs are not allowed
- Selfie Sticks are not allowed
We hope this helps a little with your planning. We’ll share in the future some items we have packed in our trips to the park. But by bringing some drinks and snacks to the park, you can really save a lot of money.
You could use the savings to eat a more expensive dinner or purchase some pretty cool merchandise you wouldn’t have before. Or simply save the money period, especially if you have a strict budget.
