If you come into the front gate, you will be memorized by a blue roller coaster track that twists above the front gates. This roller coaster is called the Gatekeeper which is smartly fitting.

Cedar Point’s gate keeper was opened in 2013 and has been thrilling coaster riders ever since. According to Cedar Point, the Gatekeep roller coaster has or had broken seven world records.

The coaster is kind of intimidating when you first see it. The unique winged style is pretty neat as riders dangle their feet while they weave and twist through two 100 foot towering key holes that are located above the main ticket entrance gate.

The coaster is plenty fast reaching speed of 67 miles per hour. Riders will feel the sensation of flying and reported has the record of the highest inversion of all the roller coasters. Featuring a 180 degree rotation to a half loop as it descends from 170 feet in the air.

Weight limits and rider size restrictions

This one has presented some challenges depending not just on your size but how your body is formed. As you can see above there is a max rider height.

Generally the larger you are the less comfortable this ride seat may become. Their is a trial seat out front, which is a great opportunity for you to see if you can fit.

I have yet to try the seat partly because I already know I would not fit this one. My belly creates a problem for the latch to connect as it should for my safety. Again my main issue right now is my belly.

I have seen confirmation that there may be some “larger” seats available. I’ve heard a 6’2″ 330 pound man with a 56″ chest and a 48″ waist fit on the Gatekeeper with no issues. He claimed to sat in the red belt seats.
