About Us – Your Guide To Theme Parks Everywhere.

David, Samantha, & Emilee At Universal Studios

This website is a family-owned website that is dedicated to helping those that are not average in size enjoy a magical trip to a theme park near you.

My name is David and I am a larger person. I am around 5′ 11 1/2″ inches tall and my weight will vary from time to time 320 lbs – 370 lbs. This presents a lot of challenges for me when I visit some of the most popular theme parks in the United States.

We all have our battles, and mine is the weight. I do struggle with it but I am always looking for ways to battle it. Sometimes, my occupation and other health issues do impact my pursuit in a smaller me. This has made it a challenge that I fight every day of my life. I dream of a better day and a smaller me. In the meantime though, life has to move on and we need to enjoy it the best we can.

I also struggle with muscle spasms that can attack me all day long and everywhere in my body. Ever since having part of my Kidney removed due to a cancerous tumor a few years back, they seem to be more violent. This also prevents me from times exercising, doing normal everyday activities, and sometimes enjoying the wonderful places we visit. I’m still am pursuing tests to figure out why.

There was a time when I hated going to a theme park. This was generally because of my health issues and my size. Being a larger person, you always notice the looks you get from other people. It can be difficult at times and damaging mentally. The anxiety of it can overwhelm you, but sometimes it is what it is and you just have to move on.

You see we all deserve the right to enjoy our lives, no matter the physical battles we may endure.

And so do you. Who cares what people think. You must get past all of that. After all, it’s your hard money that you are spending, You deserve the right to enjoy theme parks as well. Your weight should not be the main reason you fail to go or enjoy those beautiful parks.

Why did I choose To Create Big Theme Parks?

My hope is, that my experiences and the content we create will help others enjoy a vacation at a theme park in the future. The information we gather and share should help you enjoy your next trip and reduce the stress of planning for such a trip. I know how it is. It shouldn’t be that way. We hope to get you out of your home and in a park near you.

I’ve lived this life for many years now. So I know exactly what most people go through when trying to plan a vacation to a theme park when you are on the larger side. It’s frustrating and stressful, but thankfully it doesn’t have to be that way. Even for the average size individual trip planning alone is a stressful situation. We also hope to provide some content that will help everyone enjoy a Theme Park trip.

We go to several theme parks every year. While everyone else in my family scouts out what to ride and gets really excited. There was a time when I absolutely dreaded going to theme parks. It was an unknown place for me. I didn’t feel like I would enjoy myself. Because of my size, I had many nightmares. I would constantly beat myself up with the anxiety of not being able to fit on a ride while having all the eyeballs on me when I tried. Sure it’s embarrassing. Really embarrassing. The emotional toll is pretty damaging to you mentally.  It can make you not want to go and at times just add another layer of depression.

At this point, I am here to tell you. I don’t care anymore about the eyeballs or what people think. When I am on vacation I am there to enjoy myself and I ignore those around me that I don’t know. I am there to spend a wonderful time with my family and enjoy the magic at some of the best theme parks in the world. You shouldn’t care either. Remember when you are on vacation, you probably will never see those people again anyway, so why worry about what they think.

My attitude has changed when it comes to theme parks. I have come to the realization that some rides I will never be able to enjoy while visiting a theme park unless I lose weight, but I have also come to realize that there are places and rides that I can enjoy too. Once I found out they existed, it changed my perception of theme parks and has made my life more enjoyable.

As I disclosed above, I am not an average size person. I am huge. I carry most of my weight in my stomach area. I am not proud about it, and it’s tough mentally to deal with on a day-to-day basis, but I move forward and try to make the best of life as I can. Theme parks are that happy place that makes me excited and what helps my love of life. That is why I create this site. Because of my situation and my ability to visit multiple theme parks each year, I can offer my readers a point of view that is really only obtainable from a larger person.

I will provide insights on if I fit on a ride or not. What tips a larger person may need to make the vacation successful and less stressful and will over a lot of other tips on where to stay, where to go, what to eat, and how to save some money on your next theme park trip. So if you are simply like me, I welcome you. Even if you do not struggle with weight, I also hope the content will also impact you and your trip.

We hope to cross paths with you at one of the great parks one of these days. If you see us feel free to stop us and say hello, we love to meet new people.
