Cedar Point
Popular Cedar Point Roller Coasters
Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio. The “Roller Coaster Capital Of The World” is nestled right on Lake Erie, giving it a perfect location and a beautiful view of the Lake Erie. When you are stationed high and above the park on one of your favorite roller coasters, the view is unlike any other and is as beautiful as they come.
Overall all the ride selection and the scenery is one of the best in the nation for thrill seekers, but when it comes to the plus size people, it is not as forgiving as most other parks in the United States, but we’ll get into that in a future post. Cedar Point’s main game is roller coasters and they have a ton of them. Last time we checked there were 17 of them. That is a lot of roller coasters. Supposedly according to Wikipedia, that is the second in the world behind Six Flags Magic Mountain. Another interesting fact is that Cedar Point also features a world-record 71 rides.
Some of the most popular roller coasters include:
- Valravn
- Steel Vengeance
- Top Thrill Dragster
- Wicked Twister
- Raptor
- Rougarou
- Woodstock Express
- Wilderness Run
- MillenniumForce
- Maverick
- Magnum XL-200
- Iron Dragon
- Gemini
- Gatekeeper
- Corkscrew – Ride Opened in 1976. Flips you upside down with several loops at going 38 mph.
- Blue Streak – One of Cedar Points First Coasters. Opened in 1964. Max Speeds of 40 MPH & 78 Foot First Drop.
- Cedar Creek Mine Ride – Ride Opened in 1969. Like a runaway mining cart ride.
