Disney World & Universal Studios Shuts Down Parks In Orlando As Coronavirus hits United States

I can probably say that this has been one of the craziest things and scariest things I have seen in my lifetime. 9-11 was the closest, but this has taken it to a level I never could have imagined it would go.

We first saw sporting event cancel, The NBA, The NHL, Baseball, Local Teams, right on to High school events. Then concerts, schools, churches, and now we have the world’s greatest theme parks following suit and closing their parks down.

With each state handing this differently, it’s scary to think about what our future will hold and how this will impact not only our health but our financial situations moving forward, as the economy continues to falter.

How long will these theme parks be closed?

At this point, we really do not know if their initial dates will be accurate. A lot can happen between now and then, but it’s best to keep an eye on them and follow these parks on social media to get the latest, especially if you have an upcoming trip planned.

Walt Disney World – They are expected to be closed from Sunday, March 15 – Tuesday, March 31st.

Seaworld Orlando – They are expected to be closed from Sunday, March 15 – Tuesday, March 31st.

Universal Studios Orlando – They are expected to be closed from Sunday, March 15 – Tuesday, March 31st.

Legoland Florida – They are expected to be closed from Sunday, March 15 – Tuesday, March 31st.

Will This Virus Effect Theme Park Opening Days Next Month & Thru May?

At this point we are unsure, but it appears that these next 14 days are crucial in the slowing down of the virus. Although I think that we will be dealing with this virus for the rest of the year, although as we get back to our normal lives, we may have to alter things or be very careful at crowded locations.

I am unsure if new legislation will affect these things or not, but again just like Disney, it’s important to keep an eye on the park’s social networks and sign up for their newsletters to keep yourself educated on what they plan to do.

Stay Home These Next Few Days…

There isn’t much we can do about it now. We just have to weather the storm and then move forward. The best thing you can do for yourself and your family is to just stay home for a few and make sure you wash your hands for the recommended amount of time.
