So here I am staying up late as usual and I am planning our next trip to Disney in Orlando. This had me wondering what are the Disney Magic Kingdom Rides that our family could enjoy while visiting the park?

Upon further research and while looking back at our pictures from our last trip to the Magic Kingdom park, I was really surprised to how many rides there were.

  • Walt Disney’s Carousel Of Progress
  • Walt Disney World Railroad

What Are The Most Popular Rides in Magic Kingdom?

Disney has a lot of great rides and usually the most popular rides will be different depending on who you talk to. Although there are a few rides that are commonly placed in the top 10 Disney rides list people have created in blogs across the internet, here are some rides that we saw the most combined with our favorite rides.

Pirates of the Caribbean seems to show up over and over again on everyone’s favorite ride list. It’s top five for me. I love the atmosphere and the pirate animatronics that Disney has done with this ride is so entertaining.

Haunted Mansion is probably my all time favorite Disney Ride. It’s a slow ride but it’s just cool. It’s especially fun when you ride at night. The visual storytelling of the ride is fabulous.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has quickly climbed the charts for people when they list their favorite Disney Magic Kingdom Rides. It’s a roller coaster and has been a very difficult ride to get on lately due to it’s popularity. I have yet to ride it so I cannot rate it yet.

Slash Mountain is a classic that is always sure to be on the top 5 list for Disney Magic Kingdom Rides. Again this is another I have yet to ride but I’m so ready to do it on our next trip. If you like getting wet, this is a ride for you.

Space Mountain is another one that is favorites among thrill seekers and is a Disney Classic. For the younger crowd it may not be so popular, but if you love thrill rides, this about as good you will get from a Disney thrill ride.

Which Disney Rides Should I Get A Fast Past For While In The Magic Kingdom

There are several rides that you should do all you can to get a fast past for as soon as you are able to lock it up in your Disney Plans.

One of the hardest rides to get a fast pass for is the Seven Dwarf Mine Ride. I’m not sure how hard it is this year, but last year, even 30 days before our visit we could not get that attraction.

I continue to monitor the fast pass availability to try and lock one up, but never got the opportunity to do so. So if you see this one when you are locking up your fast passes, make sure you get it.

Peter Pan’s Flight is another one that you should most certainly get a fast pass for. This ride can warrant long wait times if you don’t have one.

Other rides to consider Fast Passes for:

  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Tomorrowland Speedway
  • Space Mountain
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

What Disney Magic Kingdom Rides Could Are Good For Kids?

Jungle Cruise Ride

The magical thing about Disney is that most rides and attractions are perfect for kids or anyone in the family for that matter.

There are many kid friendly rides. You will find no shortage in this department. Some of the most popular rides kids love include:

  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
  • Astro Orbiter
  • The Barn Stormer
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • It’s a Small World
  • Casey Jr. Splash ‘N” Soak City.
  • Dumbo Flying Elephant
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Mad Tea Party
  • Magic Carpets of Aladdin
  • The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh.
  • Under the Sea – Journey Of The Little Mermaid
  • Walt Disney Railroad.

The great thing is most of the rides are slow and visually appealing. There is something for all ages.

What Rides Would Adults Enjoy?

The answer depends on what you like. Do you love thrill roller coasters or something easy going, but visually appealing as a slow boat ride.

To be honest I love both aspects of a theme park, fast and slow rides. If you love the thrills, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Moutain Railroad, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride will or may give you the thrills you seek.

But when it comes to Disney Magic Kingdom Rides, the slow, storytelling, visual masterpiece rides are just as fun even though they may seem kiddish. To be honest, I feel like a kid when I am Disney anyway.

So the real answer to the question is and will depend on your likes and dislikes. But with that being said, Disney does a great job on providing something for everyone.

Do The Rides Accommodate Those with Disabilities?

One of the best features in my opinion is that Disney does accommodate those that are with Disabilities. I had an issue walking the last time we went and brought my own scooter to ride through the park.

All the rides that we went on had special accommodations for those with disabilities. Some of the rides had obvious signs and special entry ways for these people.

If you are unsure, please always ask, they will politely show you where you need to go. They are amazingly nice and will promptly help you and your disabled guest get on the ride.

Some rides may require that you can transfer from a wheelchair to a ride cart and there are rides that you can take the wheelchair right onto it. This varies per ride.

So I hope that you found this article to be very helpful with you Disney vacation planning. One of the biggest mistakes we made was not properly planning the first time we visited Disney.

For those of you that have visited the park. What are your favorite rides? Please let us know below.
